Hale`Aha Kai is a direct beachfront home. Walk out of your
backyard and step onto a beautiful white sand beach any
time you feel like a swim or a stroll along the shore. You
will find  other
homes that say "beach-side", "steps to the
ocean", "path to the beach", "across
from the beach", "private beach access"...
not Hale`Aha Kai. The house sits directly fronting onto
Hale`aha Beach.
The ocean waters are a vibrant turquoise blue. The extensive
reef ecosystem surrounding Punalu`u is great for snorkeling.
Punalu`u in the Hawaiian language means "Coral dived
for". Many guests have commented that they prefer snorkeling
our reefs over those they visited at Hanauma Bay, which
is one of the premier visitor attractions in all of Hawaii.
The extensive reef system off Hale`aha Beach offers an abundance
of colorful fish, turtles and reef life, and it is all there
when ever you feel like slipping on fins and a mask to take
a closer look. No driving, no parking hassles, and no crowds!
We have provided many premium outdoor amenities at no additional
cost to our guests! If you have young children you will
have full view of them as they play along the shore and
swim,
from the comfort of our coconut log raft that sits "anchored"
and stationary at the edge of the sand, alongside the beach.
You will have the use of two fully-equipped ocean kayaks,
all snorkeling gear, boogie boards, kick boards, sand toys
for the children, beach chairs, beach towels, an after-swim
shower, and fishing equipment. You might catch your dinner,
or be lucky enough to view a Monk seal resting on Haleaha
Beach!
The views from our home, deck and yard are what Hawaii is
all about. Turquoise waters, white sand beaches, coconut
palms, lush green mountains and valleys... this may be the
paradise  you
have always expected and dreamed about. Artists regularly
paint the view from Hale`aha Beach, simply because it is
so incredibly beautiful. Walk into an art gallery and there
is a good chance you will see a painting of the view from
our home. Yes, it is that spectacular.
The living and dining room are oceanfront, offering beautiful
views of the water and coastline. Hale`Aha Kai is beautifully
appointed throughout with comfortable, over-sized Polynesian
furnishings. The very large, well-equipped kitchen includes
just about anything the chef in you desires... new appliances,
including a dishwasher, microwave, cook-top, refrigerator-freezer
with ice maker, high quality copper cookware, blender, espresso-cappuccino
maker, quality utensils and serving items and many other
extras. The bedrooms have been furnished with high-quality
mattresses and linens and down pillows. There is a full
size washer/dryer for laundry needs. There are over 30 original
works of island art hanging throughout the home. The master
bedroom is oceanfront with its own private bath.
For our guest's maximum comfort, Hale`Aha Kai is fully Air-Conditioned.
We are one of only a very few private homes that you are
going to discover with this feature during the course of
your search for the perfect destination. As a rule, air
conditioning is an extra you will find only in hotels. Bring
your notebook computer. Hale`Aha Kai provides high-speed
cable internet access. If you venture out for a day of sightseeing,
we also provide guests with the security of having a place
to store valuables such as their laptops in a secure hotel-style
floor safe. The home is also equipped with a digital security
system. There is premium-package cable on the 42" plasma
screen HDTV along with a library of hundreds of CD's, DVD's
and VHS titles to choose from. There is an extensive library
of books, games, dining and visitor attraction guides, and
many Hawaiian titles to choose from. We provide VOIP telephone
service, which means you'll have unlimited free calling
to all 50 states and Canada... call home any time at no
additional charge! There is on-site parking for 2 vehicles.
We have an on-call maid that will provide you with additional
housekeeping services if this is your desire. If you are
visiting during the full moon, watch it rise over the ocean
for a rare treat. Take a morning stroll on the beach with
your coffee and watch the sunrise.
Hale`Aha Kai is an excellent value... the on-site activities,
